Job Description

The Position

We’re looking for a detail-driven and systems-focused manager to oversee the systems, standards, and processes underpinning ACEM’s examinations and assessment activities. You’ll lead a small team responsible for data management, standard setting, and quality control across all assessment activities – working closely with colleagues in the Examinations Operations and IT teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure everything runs seamlessly and on time.

Focusing on the backend of the examination process rather than direct delivery, this role plays a critical part in ensuring quality assurance and maintaining the standards that underpin examination outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of assessment systems and processes.
  • Oversee data integrity, results analysis, and quality assurance for examinations.
  • Manage standard setting sessions and ensure compliance with best-practice assessment methodologies.
  • Ensure timelines are met for exam preparation, marking, and feedback delivery.

Skills and Attributes

You’re organised, analytical, and thrive on ensuring systems run smoothly behind the scenes. You bring strong quality assurance and risk management expertise and have experience managing education or assessment processes in a complex environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Education, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated experience in assessment or education systems.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A broad understanding of IT concepts (technical expertise is desirable but not essential).
  • Proven ability to manage a small team and deliver to deadlines.

What's on Offer

ACEM offers excellent staff benefits including:

  • Working for an organisation with a purpose
  • Flexible work arrangements, within a hybrid work environment
  • Access to Member Advantage, offering a range of discounts across travel, dining, shopping and health and wellbeing
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Option to work 9 days in a fortnight but be paid for 10 days
  • Active corporate social responsibility
  • Convenient location to Flagstaff Gardens and Public Transport

Applications will be assessed for shortlisting as they are received so don’t hesitate to Apply Now! Please note that the application deadline for this role is 22 October 2025.
